The influences of social-structural forces on the formation and existence of values have been demonstrated by a number of authors from a variety of disciplines. This dissertation joins the view that values have been produced and embedded in human societies. I am hoping to change that historical outcome by playing as the underdogs - Russia. It set the tone for how the war on the eastern front would play out from 1914-1918. He argued that the origin of values could be social, such as social movements and culture political, such as social class, family, belief system, or nation or personal, such as personal responsibility, ambition and achievement. For those that dont know, at the start of WW1 the Russian Army invaded East Prussia and was soundly defeated by the Germans. Values have different origins according to Beinhocker (1997). In this sense, it is important to recognize the value of different individuals’ experiences in interpreting and comparing the nature, values, laws and systems of nature. Remember, values are not value-free because they are derived from the experiences of socialization in human society. Values are part of the complex interaction between the inner world of values and real world of objective events. These beliefs influence people’s action and consequently shape how people’s environment behaves. The thought that is relevant to this dissertation is that values are enduring beliefs that guide the decision-making process. In his book, "The Nature of Human Values," Milton Rokeach classified human values into terminal values, which are preferred end-states of existence, and instrumental values, which are preferred modes of conduct. The fundamental question of what is the nature of human values arises due to the fact that actions are not random but governed by intentions. Human values are the principles that guide behavior and events in a person’s life. These forces drive human decision making, which informs social action and ultimately shapes the nature around us. Both society and nature - or at least the nature that people see - maintain tension between human aspirations and the reality of nature. The values of Nature are being widely investigated within psychology, and much of what we know about the values of nature can be found in the literature on human values. The Operational Art Of War IV Key Serial NumberĮnvironmental and natural resource management (NRM) is beginning to realize that the ability of human societies to live in harmony with nature and with one another is dependent on how well the values of a given society align with the values of nature.
